About the Role

Our client is seeking a proficient and commercially astute Real Estate Lawyer to join their progressive legal team, operating entirely remotely to support their Derby based entity. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of property transactions, development agreements, and commercial leases. You will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of real estate matters, advising clients on acquisitions, disposals, and landlord and tenant negotiations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced property lawyer who thrives on autonomy and is adept at delivering high-quality legal services in a fully remote setting, contributing significantly to the firm's strategic property objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of commercial property transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, and financing.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leases, licences to assign, and other landlord and tenant documentation.
• Advise clients on property development projects, joint ventures, and planning law considerations.
• Conduct legal due diligence on property portfolios and individual assets.
• Provide strategic legal advice on property management issues and dispute resolution.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant property law regulations and best practices.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 4 years' experience in commercial real estate law .
• Proven experience in handling a wide range of property transactions and advising on complex leases.
• Strong understanding of property development, planning, and land law.
• Excellent negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage a demanding caseload independently in a remote environment.
• Strong client relationship management skills and commercial acumen.
