About the Role
Our client seeks a meticulous and knowledgeable Real Estate Valuer to join their established team in Edinburgh, Scotland . This role is essential for providing accurate and reliable property valuations for a variety of purposes, including lending, investment, and statutory requirements. You will conduct on-site inspections, research market data, and apply valuation methodologies to produce comprehensive valuation reports. This is a great opportunity for a qualified valuer to contribute to a respected firm, working across diverse property types and engaging with key stakeholders in the Edinburgh and surrounding property markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical inspections of various property types, assessing their condition, features, and marketability.
- Research and analyze comparable sales data, market trends, and economic factors relevant to property values in Edinburgh .
- Prepare detailed and accurate property valuations reports, adhering to RICS standards and client requirements.
- Liaise with clients, lenders, solicitors, and internal teams to gather information and discuss valuation outcomes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of valuation standards, market conditions, and relevant legislation.
- Ensure all valuation activities are conducted with integrity and professionalism.
Requirements
- Qualified Surveyor (MRICS or FRICS) or equivalent with a focus on valuation.
- Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in property valuation .
- Thorough understanding of valuation methodologies and standards (e.g., RICS Red Book).
- Proficiency in using valuation software and standard office applications.
- Excellent report writing, analytical, and communication skills.
