About the Role

Our client, a specialist recruitment consultancy based in Plymouth , is seeking a dynamic and experienced Recruitment Consultant to focus on the construction and engineering sectors. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with construction firms across Devon and the South West, sourcing skilled tradespeople, site managers, and engineers. You will manage the full recruitment process, ensuring timely and effective placements that meet the demands of this fast-paced industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to become an expert in construction recruitment, working from our well-located Plymouth office.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for construction, civil engineering, and related roles.
• Source and screen candidates, verifying qualifications, certifications, and site-specific experience.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with construction companies and project managers.
• Understand project requirements and client needs to source the most suitable candidates.
• Conduct business development to acquire new clients within the construction industry.
• Ensure all placements meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Previous experience in recruitment , ideally with a focus on the construction or engineering sectors.
• Strong understanding of trades, construction processes, and relevant certifications.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills.
• Ability to effectively source candidates for both temporary and permanent roles.
• Proven success in business development and client relationship management.
• Must be based within commuting distance of Plymouth .
