About the Role

Our client requires a skilled Refrigeration Engineer to join their expanding team based in Manchester . This role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial refrigeration systems, including cold rooms, display cabinets, and process cooling units. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of refrigeration equipment for a diverse client base, upholding the highest standards of service in the installation and maintenance industry. The position offers a blend of field service and potential workshop-based tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair a variety of commercial refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex refrigeration faults, identifying root causes for effective repair.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks to prevent system failures and ensure energy efficiency.
• Work with refrigerants, ensuring safe handling and compliance with environmental regulations.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals for effective service delivery.
• Provide excellent customer service, explaining technical issues and solutions clearly to clients in Manchester .

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Refrigeration Engineer or similar technical role.
• Relevant qualifications in refrigeration and air conditioning (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3).
• F-Gas certification is essential for handling refrigerants.
• Solid understanding of refrigeration cycles, compressors, and control systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel locally.
