About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and certified Refrigeration Engineer to join their team serving the Southampton area. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial refrigeration systems, including cold rooms, display cabinets, and HVAC units for various commercial clients. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the operational efficiency and longevity of refrigeration equipment critical to businesses. This is a hands-on role requiring excellent technical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality service in the field of Installation & Maintenance , working across diverse customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

Install new refrigeration systems and equipment according to technical specifications and safety standards.
Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and diagnostics on a variety of commercial refrigeration units.
Identify and rectify faults and breakdowns efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
Handle refrigerants safely and in compliance with environmental regulations.
Read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics to guide installation and repair work.
Provide clear reports on work carried out, including findings and recommendations for future maintenance.

Requirements

Relevant qualifications or apprenticeship in refrigeration, air conditioning, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Refrigeration Engineer working with commercial systems.
F-Gas certification is essential for handling refrigerants.
Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively across multiple client sites.
Must possess a full UK driving licence and be available for on-call duties as required in Hampshire and surrounding areas.
