Refuse Loader - £12.71 per hour - Ilkeston (DE7)
Are you physically fit and enjoy working outdoors? We're currently recruiting Refuse Loaders to join a busy local authority team in Ilkeston. This is a hands-on role where you'll help collect household waste, recycling, bulky items, and garden waste, providing an essential service to the local community.
Pay & Benefits

- Paid until finish – complete your round early and still get paid

Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 06:30 - Zone is finished
- Overtime available during the week and weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Collect household and recyclable waste
- Load refuse onto collection vehicles
- Work as part of a team to complete daily routes efficiently
- Maintain high standards of safety and service
Requirements
- Good level of physical fitness (role involves manual handling and walking 10-15 miles per day)
- Reliable with strong timekeeping
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Previous outdoor or manual work experience is desirable but not essential
