Regional Operations Director

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Regional Operations Director to oversee operations across multiple sites in the Newcastle upon Tyne region. This hybrid role requires a leader who can balance strategic oversight with hands-on involvement, ensuring operational excellence and driving business growth within their designated area. You will be responsible for optimizing operational performance, managing key stakeholder relationships, and championing best practices to achieve company objectives, all while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and team development.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all aspects of regional operations, including resource allocation, performance management, and strategic planning.
• Develop and execute operational strategies to meet or exceed company targets for efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of regional managers and operational staff, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, implementing corrective actions and strategic initiatives as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, company policies, and safety standards across all regional facilities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and community partners.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in operations management , with at least 3 years in a director-level role.
• Proven ability to manage operations across multiple locations and a strong understanding of hybrid work models .
• Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated success in driving operational improvements, cost reductions, and P&L responsibility.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
