The Role
As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care to
individuals with a range of mental health needs while working collaboratively with
multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
 Deliver safe and effective mental health nursing care in line with NMC
standards.
 Complete patient assessments, care planning, risk assessments, and clinical
reviews.
 Support individuals experiencing acute and complex mental health conditions.
 Administer medication safely and monitor patient responses.
 Develop therapeutic relationships with patients, families, and healthcare
professionals.
 Promote recovery-focused care, independence, dignity, and patient wellbeing.
 Recognise changes in patients' mental and physical health and escalate
concerns appropriately.
 Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
 Work effectively alongside multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive patient
outcomes.
 Follow safeguarding, infection prevention, and clinical governance
procedures.
Essential Requirements
 Current NMC Registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
 Minimum 6 months' UK mental health nursing experience.
 Previous experience within mental health hospitals, inpatient services,
community mental health, or specialist settings.
 Valid Enhanced DBS.
 Professional references covering the last 3 years of employment.
 Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
 Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
 Compassionate, reliable, and professional approach.
 Right to work in the UK.
