Job Description
We are seeking an experienced ITU Nurse to join a busy critical care unit in Ellesmere Port (CH65) on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for nurses with strong critical care fundamentals and recent UK practice, able to work confidently in a fast-paced environment delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-standard critical care nursing to patients in ITU/critical care settings
* Deliver direct patient care in line with NMC standards and local policies
* Monitor and manage patient observations, escalation and documentation
* Support and assist with care plans for complex, high-dependency patients
* Administer medications safely and accurately (following policy and clinical direction)
* Perform nursing assessments, handovers, and maintain accurate clinical records
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, AHPs and senior nursing staff
* Maintain infection prevention and control standards and contribute to safe working practices
* Support ventilated patients and complex care pathways where applicable (within competency)
Requirements
* Registered Nurse (NMC)
* At least 12 months UK experience (essential)
* Proven experience in ITU / critical care settings
* Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity environment
* Strong communication, assessment, and prioritisation skills
* Right to work in the UK (given no sponsorship is available)
