QC Technician
Location: Northamptonshire
Are you looking to build your career in Quality Control within a successful manufacturing business?
We're recruiting for a QC Technician to join a well-established manufacturer supplying high-quality products to global consumer markets. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a scientific background and laboratory experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.
The Opportunity
As a QC Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring raw materials, production batches and finished products consistently meet quality standards before release. Working closely with Production and other internal teams, you'll help maintain product quality while supporting the smooth running of manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out Quality Control testing on raw materials, in-process and finished products
Release materials and batches against agreed specifications
Investigate and record non-conformances
Support batch rework activities where required
Maintain accurate laboratory records and quality documentation
Update internal quality systems
Liaise with internal departments to ensure products are released on time
Maintain high laboratory housekeeping and Health & Safety standardsWe're looking for someone who has:
A strong scientific background gained through education, vocational qualifications or hands-on laboratory experience
Previous experience within a Quality Control, laboratory or manufacturing environment (preferred)
Excellent attention to detail
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Must be flexible to occasionally work either the 6:00am-2:00pm or 2:00pm-10:00pm shift to provide holiday cover and support the wider team.Experience within the chemical, homecare, household, fragrance, personal care or consumer products sectors would be advantageous, but is not essential.
