We are looking for amotivated and enthusiastic Regulatory Compliance Officerto join our Environmental Enforcement team on a full-time permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in environmental regulation and enforcement while gaining a nationally recognised Level 4 Regulatory Compliance Officer qualification.

You will support the Council's work to tackle environmental crime, improveneighbourhoodsand promote compliance with legislation, helping to create cleaner,saferand more attractive communities acrossNorth EastLincolnshire

What will your day look like?

As a Regulatory Compliance Officer, you will support a wide range of Environmental Enforcement activities,assistingwith investigations, inspections and enforcement interventions relating to issues such as fly-tipping, waste offences, littering, publicnuisanceand other environmental concerns.

You will help investigate complaints, gather and record evidence, undertake site visits, preparereportsand case files, and provide advice to residents and businesses on regulatory requirements. Working alongside experienced enforcement officers, you will learn how legislation is applied in practice and progressively take on greater responsibility while helping to improve compliance and environmental standards within local communities.

Who are we looking for?

We'relooking for someone with a genuine interest in environmental enforcement and public service who is keen to learn, develop and make a positive difference in their community.

You will be an effective communicator with strong organisational skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and confidence when engaging with members of the public. You should be adaptable, willing to learn new skills and committed to completing the Level 4 apprenticeship programme. A proactive approach to problem-solving, an interest in investigation and enforcement work, GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, and a full driving licence are essential.
