About the Role
Our client, a prominent manufacturing organization, is seeking a diligent Reliability Engineer to enhance the operational uptime and performance of their critical assets from their facility in Norwich . This role is focused on ensuring the dependability and maintainability of equipment and systems, employing advanced methodologies to predict, prevent, and resolve potential failures. You will work closely with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to develop and implement strategies that minimize downtime, reduce maintenance costs, and optimize asset performance. Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, you will play a key role in maintaining production continuity and maximizing the lifespan of vital industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies and other proactive maintenance programs.
- Analyze equipment failure data, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability.
- Conduct failure mode, effects, and criticality analysis (FMECA) for critical assets.
- Monitor equipment performance using condition monitoring techniques (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography) and diagnostic tools.
- Manage and optimize spare parts inventory for critical equipment to ensure timely availability.
- Contribute to the design and modification of equipment to enhance reliability and maintainability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in reliability engineering or a closely related maintenance or engineering role.
- Proven experience with RCM , FMECA, root cause analysis, and condition monitoring techniques.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, and their failure modes.
- Excellent analytical, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills.
