Salary: Pay to scale from day 1 (£168.80 - £232.56), inclusive of statutory holiday pay (12.07%)

We are looking for a passionate and adaptable Religious Studies Teacher to take on term cover for a local secondary school in Redcar from September through to the end of the autumn term in December. Whether you’re an experienced teacher seeking flexibility through Teaching Personnel or an ECT beginning your career, this is a fantastic opportunity to build your classroom experience across a variety of school settings.

The Role

• Deliver engaging religious studies lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 opportunities may be available)
• Follow lesson plans and maintain a positive learning environment
• Adapt quickly to different school settings
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and promote a positive learning environment
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Mark work where required and provide feedback

Who We’re Looking For

• Qualified religious education teacher (QTS or working towards)
• ECTs/NQTs are very welcome
• Confident classroom presence and strong subject knowledge
• Reliable, flexible, and professional
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• An up-to-date DBS or willingness to obtain one
• Satisfactory background screening
