Religious Education / Humanities Teacher - Leeds (Inner-City Secondary School)

Religious Education Teacher (KS3 & KS4) Leeds Full-Time Immediate Start Contract Until Christmas

We are working with a thriving inner-city secondary school in Leeds that is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Religious Education Teacher to join their Humanities department on a full-time basis until Christmas.

The successful candidate will teach Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4 , including GCSE classes. Due to the specialist nature of the role and a challenging recruitment market, the school is also keen to hear from Humanities teachers with experience delivering RE , including those whose main specialism is History, Geography, or Citizenship.

The Role:

• Delivering engaging Religious Education lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teaching GCSE RE classes.
• Planning, preparing and assessing student work in line with departmental expectations.
• Creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Supporting pupil progress and raising attainment across the subject.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching RE at secondary level, or a Humanities specialism with the ability to teach RE confidently.
• Strong classroom management skills and a passion for inspiring young people.
• Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to engage learners of all abilities.
• Available on a full-time basis until Christmas.
