About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled Remote Agricultural Data Analyst to join their innovative agricultural technology team. In this fully remote position, you will be responsible for collecting, processing, and interpreting vast datasets from various agricultural sources, including sensor data, satellite imagery, and farm management software. Your insights will be critical in developing data-driven strategies to improve crop yields, optimize resource allocation, and enhance farming efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and organize large agricultural datasets from diverse sources.
- Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to analyze crop performance, soil health, and environmental factors.
- Create compelling data visualizations and reports to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights to support strategic decision-making for farmers and agricultural businesses.
- Collaborate with software developers and agronomists to integrate data analysis tools into existing platforms.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with data privacy regulations.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Agricultural Science with a strong quantitative focus, or a related field.
- Proven experience (4+ years) as a Data Analyst, with a specialization in agricultural data.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with data manipulation libraries.
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (SQL) and cloud data platforms.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and statistical modeling techniques.
