About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Agricultural Data Analyst to join their team and contribute to the advancement of modern farming practices through data-driven insights. Operating in a fully remote capacity, you will be responsible for collecting, processing, and interpreting vast datasets related to crop performance, soil conditions, weather patterns, and market trends. Your findings will directly inform strategic decisions, optimize resource allocation, and enhance the overall efficiency and sustainability of agricultural operations across the UK. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and organize agricultural data from various sources, including sensors, historical records, and external databases.
- Perform statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in agricultural datasets.
- Develop and maintain data visualizations and reports to communicate complex findings to stakeholders clearly.
- Collaborate with agronomists and farm managers to understand data needs and provide actionable insights for operational improvements.
- Utilize software and tools for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling relevant to the Agriculture & Forestry sector.
- Stay abreast of new technologies and methodologies in agricultural data analysis and contribute to the continuous improvement of data processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in data analysis , preferably within the agricultural or environmental sectors.
- Strong proficiency in data manipulation and statistical analysis tools (e.g., R, Python, SQL, Excel).
- Experience with data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent understanding of agricultural principles, including crop science and soil management, is highly advantageous.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
