About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Remote Agronomist and Crop Specialist to provide expert advice and support to agricultural producers across the UK. Working from a remote location, you will leverage your deep understanding of soil science, crop physiology, and pest management to help farmers optimize their yields, improve crop quality, and adopt more sustainable practices. This role is critical in providing data-driven recommendations and fostering innovation in farming techniques, all while benefiting from the flexibility of remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert agronomic advice to farmers on soil fertility, crop nutrition, and water management strategies.
• Develop and recommend integrated pest and disease management programs tailored to specific crops and regions.
• Analyze soil samples, tissue samples, and field data to inform crop management decisions and identify areas for improvement.
• Stay updated on the latest research, technologies, and regulatory changes affecting crop production.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly through remote consultations, reports, and virtual presentations.

Requirements

• Degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or a related agricultural discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of practical experience as an Agronomist or Crop Specialist.
• In-depth knowledge of crop physiology, soil science, and integrated pest management (IPM).
• Proficiency in using agricultural software for data analysis, record-keeping, and farm planning.
• Excellent remote communication, problem-solving, and client advisory skills.
