About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and certified Air Traffic Controller to join their pioneering team, working entirely remotely from Newcastle upon Tyne . You will be responsible for maintaining the flow of aircraft, ensuring separation standards, and responding to various flight conditions and emergencies from a dedicated remote operational center. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage air traffic flow within assigned airspace using sophisticated remote systems.
• Issue clearances and instructions to pilots to ensure safe separation and efficient aircraft movement.
• Respond to and manage emergency situations and deviations from standard flight paths.
• Collaborate with other remote controllers and relevant aviation authorities to coordinate traffic.
• Maintain accurate flight progress strips and log all significant events and communications.
• Continuously monitor weather conditions and their potential impact on air traffic operations.

Requirements

• Current and valid Air Traffic Controller license with relevant ratings.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a live ATC environment.
• Proficiency with modern air traffic management systems and communication equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to make critical decisions under pressure in a remote setting.
• Excellent situational awareness, communication skills, and a strong understanding of aviation regulations.
• Must have a dedicated, quiet home office space conducive to remote work and high concentration.
