About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and security-conscious Remote Automotive Cybersecurity Analyst to safeguard their connected vehicle technologies. This fully remote position allows you to work from anywhere while playing a critical role in protecting vehicles from cyber threats. You will be responsible for monitoring security systems, analyzing potential threats, developing incident response plans, and implementing robust cybersecurity measures across the automotive ecosystem. This is a crucial role for a proactive individual passionate about securing the future of automotive technology, contributing vital expertise from a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor automotive networks and systems for security breaches and suspicious activities using SIEM and other tools.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on vehicle software and connected services.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and incident response plans for automotive systems.
- Analyze cybersecurity threats and risks, providing recommendations for mitigation strategies.
- Stay current with evolving cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies relevant to the automotive industry.
- Collaborate virtually with engineering, IT, and product teams to ensure security is integrated into the entire product lifecycle.
- Respond to and manage security incidents, performing forensic analysis when necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst , with specific experience in the automotive sector or embedded systems.
- Strong understanding of network security, cryptography, and secure coding practices.
- Familiarity with automotive cybersecurity standards such as ISO/SAE 21434 and UN R155.
- Experience with security tools, including IDS/IPS, firewalls, SIEM, and vulnerability scanners.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, essential for remote collaboration.
