About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented and motivated Remote Automotive Embedded Software Engineer to contribute to the development of innovative in-vehicle systems. This fully remote position allows you to work from anywhere while shaping the future of automotive technology. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing embedded software for various automotive applications, including infotainment, driver assistance systems, and vehicle control units. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C/C++ programming and experience with real-time operating systems within the automotive context, collaborating effectively with a distributed team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement embedded software solutions for automotive ECUs using C/C++.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
- Develop and execute unit tests and integration tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Work with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and develop low-level drivers and middleware components.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers and system architects to define software requirements and ensure seamless integration.
- Troubleshoot and debug software issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions in a remote setting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in embedded software development , with a focus on automotive applications.
- Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded development tools.
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience working in agile development environments, ideally in a remote setup.
