About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented Remote Automotive Software Developer to join their pioneering team, contributing to the future of connected vehicles. This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in the UK. You will be responsible for developing cutting-edge software solutions that enhance the in-car experience, improve vehicle performance, and enable advanced driver-assistance systems. You will collaborate with a distributed team of engineers, designers, and product managers to bring innovative automotive software to life, fostering a culture of remote collaboration and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement robust software modules for automotive embedded systems using C/C++ and other relevant languages.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to define software requirements and ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components.
• Develop and maintain APIs and communication protocols for in-vehicle infotainment and control systems.
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code, adhering to industry best practices for automotive software development.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural discussions to improve software quality and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues, providing timely resolutions to ensure system stability and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Software Developer, with a focus on embedded systems or automotive software.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols like CAN, LIN, or Automotive Ethernet.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fully remote , collaborative environment.
