About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Remote Automotive Software Developer to join their distributed engineering team, working from anywhere in the UK, with a focus on supporting their operations near Edinburgh . You will be responsible for developing, testing, and deploying software solutions for in-vehicle infotainment systems, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), and vehicle control units. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a remote work environment. You will contribute to building the next generation of intelligent automotive software, working with a global team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of automotive technology and connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, code, and debug complex software modules for automotive applications, adhering to strict coding standards.
• Develop software for embedded systems, focusing on areas like infotainment, ADAS, and vehicle communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Ethernet).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and system architects, in a fully remote setting.
• Write comprehensive unit tests and integration tests to ensure software reliability and performance.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to improving development processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
