About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Remote Automotive Software Engineer with a strong background in embedded systems to join their innovative product development team. This role is fully remote, allowing you to contribute from anywhere within the UK. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software for cutting-edge automotive control units and infotainment systems. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded software for automotive ECUs using C/C++.
• Develop and maintain real-time operating systems (RTOS) for automotive applications.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system requirements and software architecture.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and debugging of embedded software components.
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices in automotive software development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in embedded software development, specifically within the automotive sector.
• Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.
• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded debugging tools.
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote , collaborative environment.
