Remote Automotive Systems Integration Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Remote Automotive Systems Integration Engineer to play a key role in the development of advanced vehicle architectures. This fully remote position focuses on ensuring the seamless integration of diverse automotive subsystems, including powertrain, chassis, infotainment, and ADAS. You will work with global teams to define integration strategies, troubleshoot complex issues, and validate system functionality in a virtual environment. Key Responsibilities

• Define system architecture and integration strategies for complex automotive electronic and software subsystems.
• Develop and maintain system integration test plans, including simulation, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing protocols.
• Analyze system-level performance and troubleshoot integration issues across multiple domains (powertrain, chassis, body electronics, ADAS).
• Collaborate with subsystem engineers to ensure compatibility and optimize interfaces between different vehicle modules.
• Document system integration requirements, specifications, and test results.
• Act as a technical liaison between various engineering teams and external suppliers regarding system integration challenges.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in automotive systems engineering, with a strong focus on integration.
• In-depth knowledge of automotive communication networks (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet).
• Experience with model-based design tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink) and simulation environments.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex multi-system issues in a remote setting.
