About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Remote Automotive Test Engineer to join their dynamic engineering team. You will be responsible for developing and executing test plans for automotive software and hardware components, ensuring they meet stringent quality and performance standards. Working entirely remotely from anywhere within the UK , you will play a vital role in the validation process of innovative vehicle technologies. Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test strategies, test cases, and test scripts for automotive software and electronic systems.
• Execute manual and automated tests, meticulously documenting results and identifying defects.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with development teams to resolve bugs and improve product quality.
• Utilize simulation tools and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems for effective testing of vehicle components.
• Contribute to the improvement of test processes and methodologies, recommending tools and techniques for enhanced efficiency.
• Ensure all testing activities are performed in accordance with automotive industry standards and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Automotive, Electrical, Computer) or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in automotive testing and validation.
• Proficiency in test automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, CAPL).
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Ethernet).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, essential for effective remote teamwork.
