Remote Aviation Cybersecurity Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Remote Aviation Cybersecurity Analyst to join their distributed security team. In this fully remote position, you will be instrumental in safeguarding the sensitive data and critical digital infrastructure of the aviation sector against evolving cyber threats. You will monitor security systems, analyze potential threats, develop and implement security protocols, and respond to security incidents. This role demands a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively across different time zones, all from the comfort of your chosen location.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and logs from various systems, identifying and analyzing potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on aviation IT and OT systems.
• Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents, coordinating remediation efforts and post-incident analysis.
• Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies relevant to the aviation industry .
• Collaborate with IT and operational teams to ensure the security of critical aviation systems and data.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst or similar role, with a focus on network security and threat detection.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and common attack vectors.
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint detection and response (EDR).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, crucial for a remote role.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively in a fully remote setting, supporting global aviation operations.
