About the Role

Our client is seeking an organized and caring Remote Befriending Coordinator to join their dedicated team, working entirely from home and supporting individuals across the region from Nottingham . This vital role involves recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers who provide befriending services to individuals experiencing loneliness or isolation. You will be instrumental in matching volunteers with service users, ensuring appropriate and supportive relationships are established and maintained through virtual communication. This position requires excellent communication, organizational skills, and a passion for combating social isolation, utilizing technology to build and sustain a network of support, contributing to a more connected and caring community from a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, screen, and train new volunteer befrienders, ensuring they meet organizational standards.
• Match volunteers with service users based on compatibility, needs, and preferences.
• Provide ongoing support and supervision to volunteer befrienders through virtual channels.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance the befriending program and volunteer engagement.
• Maintain accurate records of volunteer placements, service user details, and program activities.
• Liaise with partner organizations and stakeholders to promote the befriending service.

Requirements
