About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Chemical Engineer specializing in Process Design & Simulation to join their innovative, fully remote team. This role is central to conceptualizing and developing new chemical processes and optimizing existing ones through advanced modeling and simulation techniques. You will be instrumental in translating ideas into robust, efficient, and scalable designs, playing a key part in bringing new products and technologies to market. Working remotely, you will collaborate with global teams, utilizing cutting-edge software to create virtual representations of processes, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing risks before physical implementation, thereby driving efficiency and innovation for our client.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and detailed process designs for new chemical plants and modifications.
• Utilize advanced process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) to model and analyze processes.
• Perform heat and material balances, equipment sizing, and P&ID development.
• Optimize process designs for efficiency, safety, environmental compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with R&D, operations, and project engineering teams to integrate designs into practical applications.
• Troubleshoot simulation models and provide technical support for process issues.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering .
• Significant experience (6+ years) in process design and simulation within the chemical industry.
• Expert proficiency with industry-standard process simulation software.
• Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and reaction kinetics.
• Experience with P&ID development and equipment specification.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
