About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and forward-thinking Remote Chemical Engineer with a specialization in Sustainability and Environmental Engineering . Based entirely remotely, you will drive the development and implementation of greener chemical processes and technologies across the company's global operations. This role is ideal for an engineer passionate about environmental stewardship, circular economy principles, and reducing the ecological footprint of chemical manufacturing. You will collaborate virtually with diverse teams to integrate sustainable practices into process design and operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to reduce waste, energy consumption, and emissions in chemical processes.
• Evaluate and recommend sustainable raw materials, catalysts, and process technologies.
• Conduct life cycle assessments (LCAs) for new and existing products and processes.
• Collaborate with R&D and operations teams remotely to pilot and deploy green chemistry solutions.
• Ensure compliance with evolving environmental regulations and sustainability reporting standards.
• Stay updated on advancements in green chemistry , renewable energy integration, and circular economy models.

Requirements

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering with a focus on environmental engineering or sustainability.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering, with a demonstrated track record in sustainability initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of green chemistry principles, life cycle assessment, and environmental impact analysis.
• Experience with process modeling and simulation tools applied to environmental performance.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a remote setting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for virtual teamwork.
