About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled and self-motivated Remote Chemical Process Development Engineer to join their globally distributed research and development team. This fully remote position allows you to contribute to cutting-edge process development from the comfort of your home office. You will be instrumental in designing, testing, and refining novel chemical processes, working collaboratively with international teams via digital platforms. This role is perfect for an experienced engineer who excels in independent work, possesses strong remote communication skills, and is passionate about advancing chemical technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptual design and development of innovative chemical processes.
- Utilize process simulation software to model, analyze, and optimize process performance.
- Prepare detailed process documentation, including PFDs, P&IDs, and mass/energy balances.
- Provide technical leadership and support for pilot-scale testing and process validation, often coordinating remotely.
- Collaborate effectively with researchers, engineers, and project managers across different time zones using virtual tools.
- Stay current with new technologies and methodologies in chemical process development.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Substantial experience (6+ years) in chemical process development, scale-up, and project execution.
- Expertise in process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and statistical analysis.
- Proven ability to manage projects and deliver results in a remote work environment .
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in virtual collaboration platforms.
