About the Role
Our client is searching for a creative and diligent Remote Chemical Process Development Engineer to contribute to their innovative product pipeline. This role is focused on the experimental development, optimization, and scale-up of chemical processes for new materials and products. You will work within a collaborative, albeit remote, team environment to transform laboratory concepts into robust, industrially viable processes. Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute laboratory experiments to develop and optimize chemical synthesis routes and processes.
- Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and develop scale-up strategies for promising processes.
- Prepare technical reports, process descriptions, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with R&D scientists and engineers to ensure seamless transition from lab-scale to pilot-scale operations.
- Identify and evaluate new process technologies and equipment relevant to product development.
- Ensure all development activities are conducted with a strong emphasis on safety and environmental responsibility.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
- 2-4 years of experience in process development, R&D, or chemical synthesis.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory experimentation and process optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with basic process simulation and data analysis tools.
- Good understanding of chemical principles, reaction mechanisms, and separation techniques.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, effective for remote collaboration.
