About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a talented Remote Chemical Process Engineer with a specialization in specialty chemicals to join their forward-thinking organization. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing chemical processes, focusing on innovative solutions for complex manufacturing challenges. Key Responsibilities

• Design and optimize chemical processes for the production of specialty chemicals, ensuring safety, efficiency, and scalability.
• Conduct process simulations and modeling using industry-standard software to predict performance and identify optimization opportunities.
• Develop P&IDs, mass and energy balances, and equipment specifications for new and existing processes.
• Collaborate effectively with remote R&D, production, and project management teams through virtual communication tools.
• Troubleshoot process issues and implement effective solutions, often requiring remote diagnostics and guidance.
• Ensure all process designs comply with relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical process engineering, with a focus on specialty chemicals.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, ChemCAD) and CAD tools.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage projects effectively in a remote setting .
• Strong understanding of chemical reaction engineering, separation processes, and process control.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote collaboration.
