Remote Chemical Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chemical Process Engineer to join their team on a fully remote basis, serving clients across the UK. In this critical role, you will leverage your expertise to design, analyze, and optimize chemical processes, contributing to innovative solutions for a diverse range of industries. Key Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and detailed designs for new chemical process plants.
• Perform process calculations, simulations, and economic evaluations.
• Create and review process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Conduct thorough hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies and risk assessments.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams via virtual platforms.
• Provide expert technical advice and troubleshooting support for ongoing projects.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience as a Process Engineer, ideally within an industrial or consultancy setting.
• Demonstrated ability in process design, optimization, and scale-up.
• Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD).
• Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles and safety standards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, suitable for a remote work environment.
