Remote Chemical Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a dedicated Remote Chemical Process Engineer to join their forward-thinking operations team. This position is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. You will play a crucial role in designing, analyzing, and optimizing chemical processes to enhance efficiency, safety, and sustainability. Collaborating virtually with site teams and other stakeholders, you will contribute to innovative solutions and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot chemical processes using advanced simulation and modeling tools.
• Analyze process data to identify opportunities for optimization, cost reduction, and yield improvement.
• Develop and review process documentation, including P&IDs, PFDs, and operating procedures.
• Conduct virtual process hazard analyses (PHAs) and implement recommendations to ensure safety and compliance.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including operations, R&D, and project management, in a remote environment.
• Provide technical support and expertise to manufacturing sites as required, primarily through virtual channels.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering .
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in process design, scale-up, or optimization.
• Proficiency with chemical process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD).
• Strong understanding of process safety principles and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a virtual team setting.
• Must be eligible to work remotely from within the UK .
