Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Chemical Process Engineer to join their global innovation hub, operating entirely remotely. This position is critical for designing and optimising advanced chemical processes that underpin our client's diverse product portfolio. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptual design and detailed engineering of new and existing chemical processes, focusing on scalability and efficiency.
- Utilise advanced process simulation software to model, analyse, and optimise process performance and economics.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop safety protocols for processes, ensuring compliance with international standards.
- Collaborate virtually with R&D, manufacturing, and engineering teams across different time zones to ensure seamless project execution.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, P&IDs, and SOPs, ensuring clarity and accuracy for remote dissemination.
- Provide expert technical consultation on process improvements, troubleshooting, and technology implementation.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering .
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in process design, development, and optimisation within the chemical industry.
- Expertise in process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen Plus, PRO/II) and strong data analytics capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience in leading complex engineering projects in a remote or distributed team setting.
- Exceptional understanding of chemical engineering principles, including reaction kinetics, separation processes, and thermodynamics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adept at conveying technical information remotely.
