Remote Chemical Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Chemical Process Engineer to contribute to their global operations. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within the UK. You will be responsible for the design, analysis, and optimization of chemical processes, supporting various projects and manufacturing sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and the ability to collaborate effectively with geographically dispersed teams, driving innovation and efficiency in chemical manufacturing processes without the need for physical office presence in Milton Keynes .

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct process design and simulation for new chemical plants and modifications to existing facilities, utilizing industry-standard software.
• Analyze process performance data, identify areas for improvement, and develop implementation plans.
• Prepare technical specifications, P&IDs, and Process Flow Diagrams for process equipment and systems.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing sites, troubleshooting complex operational issues remotely.
• Ensure all designs and processes comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with international project teams, stakeholders, and vendors through virtual communication channels.

Requirements

• A degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in chemical process design and analysis.
• Proficiency in process simulation software such as Aspen Plus, HYSYS, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of process safety principles, including HAZOP and risk assessment methodologies.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, adaptable to a remote working environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively whilst working remotely.
