Remote Chemical Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Chemical Process Engineer to join their innovative team, working remotely from anywhere in the UK . This role is pivotal in driving process improvements and ensuring operational excellence across various projects, without the need for daily office presence. You will leverage your expertise to provide critical engineering support, design solutions, and contribute to strategic development from a remote setting, benefiting from a flexible and autonomous work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and troubleshoot chemical processes using remote tools and collaboration platforms.
• Conduct process simulations, mass and energy balances, and P&ID development remotely.
• Collaborate effectively with on-site teams, suppliers, and stakeholders via virtual meetings and digital communication channels.
• Develop and implement process safety documentation and risk assessments.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and project documentation for review and approval.
• Support the commissioning and validation of process changes through remote guidance and virtual inspections.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering with a strong academic background.
• 5+ years of experience in process engineering, with a proven ability to work effectively in a remote capacity.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD) and AutoCAD.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills for a virtual environment.
• Demonstrated understanding of process safety management (PSM) principles.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
