About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote Chemical Process Engineer to join their global engineering team. This position is fully remote, offering flexibility while contributing to critical process development and optimization projects. You will leverage your expertise to design, simulate, and troubleshoot complex chemical processes from your home office, collaborating virtually with international teams. This role is ideal for a self-motivated engineer who thrives in an independent work environment and is passionate about driving innovation in chemical manufacturing, all while enjoying the benefits of a fully remote work arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize chemical process designs using industry-standard simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD).
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical reviews for new process concepts and modifications.
- Analyze process data, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions for performance enhancement and cost reduction.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, clients, and cross-functional teams through virtual communication channels.
- Ensure all designs and process improvements comply with relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in chemical process design and simulation.
- Proficiency with chemical process simulation and modeling software is essential.
- Solid understanding of mass transfer , heat transfer, and chemical reaction engineering principles.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote setting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills.
