About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and self-motivated Remote Chemical Process Engineer to join their innovative team. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to work from anywhere while contributing to critical process design and optimization projects. You will be responsible for developing, evaluating, and improving chemical processes, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and environmentally sound. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills for remote collaboration, and the ability to manage projects independently. You will play a key role in driving process excellence and innovation across the company's diverse operations, regardless of physical location.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes using advanced simulation and modeling tools.
- Conduct feasibility studies and economic evaluations for new process technologies.
- Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and equipment specifications.
- Perform process hazard analyses (PHAs ) and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Provide technical support for process troubleshooting and optimization efforts at various company sites.
- Collaborate effectively with remote project teams, stakeholders, and external partners through digital communication channels.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering .
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in chemical process design, development, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of chemical reaction engineering, thermodynamics, and separation processes.
- Proven experience in conducting process hazard analyses and implementing safety measures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
