About the Role
Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and empathetic Remote Child Development Specialist to provide virtual support and guidance to families and early years settings. This role focuses on offering expert advice on child development, learning strategies, and addressing specific developmental needs, all conducted through digital platforms. You will be instrumental in empowering parents and educators with the tools and knowledge to support children's optimal growth from birth to five years. This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in child development in a flexible, remote capacity, making a significant difference to families across the Reading area and beyond, without the need for physical presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice and support on child development milestones, learning, and behavioural strategies to parents and early years professionals via virtual consultations.
- Develop and curate online resources, guides, and workshops on various aspects of child development.
- Conduct remote assessments of developmental progress and provide tailored recommendations.
- Collaborate with families to create personalised development plans for their children.
- Stay current with research and best practices in child development, early intervention, and online support methodologies.
- Maintain confidential records of consultations and client interactions using secure digital systems.
Requirements
- A degree in Child Development, Psychology, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience working directly with children and families in an early years or developmental support role.
- Strong understanding of child psychology, developmental theories, and the EYFS framework.
- Excellent communication, active listening, and empathy skills, adapted for virtual interaction.
- Proficiency in using video conferencing software, digital communication tools, and maintaining secure online records.
- Ability to work independently, manage a remote caseload, and provide evidence-based guidance to diverse clients.
