About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled and self-motivated Remote Civil Engineer to contribute to various infrastructure projects, working from anywhere within the UK. This role is crucial for our design and planning phases, involving the technical design and specification of civil engineering works. You will collaborate remotely with project teams, clients, and external consultants to develop innovative and sustainable engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Undertake detailed design work for civil engineering projects, including drainage, earthworks, and structural elements.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and drawings using relevant design software.
- Collaborate remotely with project managers, architects, and other disciplines to integrate designs seamlessly.
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant national standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Conduct site visits and surveys as required, potentially involving occasional travel.
- Review and approve technical submittals and respond to design queries from construction teams.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in civil engineering design , with a strong portfolio of relevant projects.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage).
- Excellent understanding of UK building codes and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
