About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Civil Engineering Lead to join their fully remote team, supporting projects across the UK. This critical role involves overseeing the technical direction of various civil engineering initiatives, ensuring innovative solutions and adherence to the highest standards of quality and safety. As a Remote Civil Engineering Lead , you will spearhead complex design challenges, collaborate with distributed teams, and drive the successful completion of projects from inception to handover, all while maintaining exceptional communication and leadership from your home office.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and oversight for a portfolio of diverse civil engineering projects.
- Develop innovative design strategies for infrastructure, transportation, and land development projects.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant UK standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Manage and mentor a remote team of civil engineers, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
- Conduct rigorous technical reviews and quality assurance checks on project deliverables.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders remotely to understand project requirements and provide updates.
Requirements
- Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng) or equivalent professional qualification.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in civil engineering design, project management, and team leadership.
- Proven ability to lead and manage complex infrastructure projects remotely.
- Expertise in engineering design software and project management tools.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, adapted for a remote setting.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing sustainable engineering solutions.
