Remote Class 1 HGV Driver (Night Trunking)

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Remote Class 1 HGV Driver to undertake night trunking operations. While this role is primarily remote in terms of management and planning, it requires physical driving of an HGV. You will be responsible for long-distance transportation of goods between distribution centres, ensuring timely and secure deliveries. Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 1 HGV vehicle for long-distance night trunking routes.
• Transport goods safely and securely between designated distribution centres.
• Perform thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Adhere strictly to all tachograph regulations and working time directives.
• Ensure efficient route planning and adherence to delivery schedules.
• Maintain clear communication with the dispatch and logistics team throughout the shift.

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 HGV driving license (Category C+E).
• Full Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
• Valid UK digital tachograph card.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Class 1 HGV driving, preferably with experience in trunking.
• Proven record of safe driving and adherence to all road traffic laws.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during night shifts.
