About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented and motivated Remote Cloud Security Engineer to strengthen their cloud infrastructure security. This role is critical for designing, implementing, and managing security controls across their cloud environments, ensuring data protection and regulatory compliance. You will work independently from a remote location, collaborating virtually with DevOps and engineering teams to build secure and scalable cloud solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security solutions for cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Develop and enforce cloud security policies , standards, and best practices.
- Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) controls for cloud resources.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits of cloud environments to identify vulnerabilities.
- Respond to cloud-related security incidents and work with teams to remediate issues.
- Automate security tasks and processes using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cloud Security Engineer or in a similar cloud security role.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud security best practices and services on major cloud platforms.
- Experience with security tools such as WAF, IDS/IPS, and cloud-native security services.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001) in a cloud context.
