About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled Remote Cloud Security Engineer to enhance their security posture across their cloud infrastructure, serving teams throughout the UK, including those in the vicinity of Norwich . This role is essential for designing, implementing, and managing security controls within cloud environments such as AWS and Azure. You will work autonomously from home, collaborating with engineering teams to ensure that cloud deployments are secure by design and that data is protected against evolving threats. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security solutions for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Develop and automate security configurations, policies, and compliance checks for cloud infrastructure.
- Monitor cloud security posture, identify vulnerabilities, and implement remediation actions.
- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to integrate security best practices into CI/CD pipelines.
- Manage identity and access management (IAM) controls, ensuring least privilege principles are applied.
- Respond to cloud security incidents and provide forensic analysis where necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of experience in cloud security engineering or architecture.
- Strong expertise in securing major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Knowledge of container security (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless security.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience working in a fully remote team.
