About the Role
Our client is actively seeking an experienced Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join their legal team on a fully remote basis. This position is critical for advising on the negotiation, drafting, and management of a wide array of commercial agreements that underpin the company's operations. You will work closely with various business units to ensure that all contractual arrangements are legally sound, commercially viable, and mitigate potential risks. This role is ideal for a self-motivated lawyer who thrives in an autonomous setting and possesses a keen understanding of contract law within a fast-paced business environment, based anywhere in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts, including NDAs, service agreements, SaaS agreements, and master service agreements (MSAs).
- Provide legal advice on contract interpretation, performance, and termination.
- Develop and maintain standard contract templates and playbooks.
- Collaborate with business development, sales, and procurement teams to ensure contracts meet business needs.
- Manage a pipeline of contracts and ensure timely execution.
- Stay updated on relevant contract law developments and best practices.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a strong background in commercial contract law.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
- Excellent understanding of contract principles, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
- Proficiency in using contract management systems and legal technology.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage workload effectively in a remote capacity.
