Remote Communications Lead

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Remote Communications Lead to spearhead their communications strategy. This leadership position operates entirely remotely, overseeing all aspects of internal and external communications, brand messaging, and public relations. You will be instrumental in shaping the company's narrative, managing diverse communication channels, and leading a team of communication professionals. The ideal candidate is a strategic visionary with a proven ability to drive impactful communication initiatives, excellent leadership qualities, and extensive experience in managing comprehensive communication functions from a distance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive, integrated communication strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead and mentor the communications team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Oversee the creation and dissemination of all internal and external communications, including press releases, newsletters, and social media content.
• Manage the company's brand messaging and ensure consistency across all platforms.
• Develop and implement crisis communication plans and act as a key point of contact during sensitive situations.
• Analyze communication effectiveness and report on key metrics to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in communications, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful large-scale communication strategies.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, planning, and execution skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation abilities.
• Experience managing teams and working effectively in a fully remote capacity, with a strong understanding of Wolverhampton 's regional context or similar urban centres.
