Remote Compliance Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Compliance Officer to join their fully remote team, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards across their UK operations. This position is crucial for maintaining the integrity and reputation of the organisation within the highly regulated banking and finance sector. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs, policies, and procedures, working independently from your home base. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain robust compliance policies and procedures aligned with current UK financial regulations.
• Conduct regular compliance reviews and audits to assess adherence to internal policies and external legal requirements.
• Investigate potential compliance breaches, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance matters and regulatory updates.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, responding to inquiries and managing reporting requirements.
• Stay abreast of changes in legislation and industry best practices affecting financial compliance.

  Requirements
• University degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Professional qualifications in compliance (e.g., ICA Diploma) are highly desirable.
• At least 5 years of experience in a compliance or regulatory role within the financial services industry.
• In-depth knowledge of UK financial services regulations (e.g., FCA Handbook, PRA Rulebook) and anti-money laundering (AML) requirements.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance programs and conducting internal audits.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage time effectively, and maintain high standards of accuracy in a remote working environment.
