Remote Compliance Officer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly diligent and proactive Remote Compliance Officer to join their team, operating entirely from a remote location. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the organisation adheres to all relevant financial regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. You will develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs, conduct internal audits, and provide guidance to staff on regulatory requirements. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while playing a vital role in maintaining the integrity and ethical operations of the company, with the key focus being on adherence to regulations within the Northern Ireland financial sector and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance policies and procedures across the organisation.
• Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance breaches.
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise the business on necessary adjustments to policies and practices.
• Investigate potential compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Deliver compliance training to employees at all levels of the organisation.
• Liaise with external regulatory bodies and auditors as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional compliance certification (e.g., CCEP) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a compliance, legal, or regulatory role within the financial services industry.
• In-depth knowledge of financial regulations (e.g., AML, KYC, GDPR) relevant to the UK market.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance frameworks and conducting risk assessments.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously.
