About the Role
Our client is seeking an organised and proactive Remote Construction Planner to join their distributed project delivery team. This is a fully remote role, allowing you to contribute to significant construction projects from the convenience of your home office. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, resource plans, and logistics strategies to support the efficient execution of construction activities. This position is ideal for an individual with a keen eye for detail and a strong aptitude for strategic planning within the construction sector, offering a great opportunity for professional growth in a flexible working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, monitor, and update comprehensive project schedules using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Collaborate with project managers and site teams to define project phases, milestones, and deliverables.
- Analyse project requirements and plan for resource allocation, including labour, materials, and equipment.
- Identify potential risks and delays to the project schedule and propose mitigation strategies.
- Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for project stakeholders.
- Ensure all planning activities align with contractual requirements and company standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in project planning software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or Asta Powerproject.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly in a remote setting.
- Understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and methodologies.
